Performances by West Grand Boulevard and RP Wind Symphony at 2.30pm and 4.30pm respectively

Catch student buskers from Rhapsody, Guitar Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Gamelan Ensemble (various locations within RP campus)

Calling all hip hop fans! Be at South Agora to witness 9 top-notch hip hop dance groups from various schools contesting in the Hip Hop Dance Competition – RPresenting TO DA Fullest II from 3pm onwards

Student performers from Replug, Wushu, Malay Cultural Group, Social Dance, Percussion Ensemble, Capoeira and Dragon and Lion Dance Troupe will be showcasing their performance items from 1

1.30am onwards at the South Agora

 

“Don’t Forget the Lyrics” … A TV reality game show that hinges on the popularity of karaoke among Singaporeans! Contestants just have to sing to a karaoke track and they stand a change to win half a million dollars cash.

LIVE ‘n’ LOADED … It’s more than just another music variety show! It’s on all media platforms- on TV, on Radio, on the web, and on Print. LIVE ‘n’ LOADED! is an integrated music concept where local music acts and “showcase” local, regional and international music stars are “exposed” in front of 4.8 million people in Singapore, LIVE every week! And for those who are ready to live their dream and be on TV and perform, look out for them in the special segment, ARTISTES UPLOADED! Newbies and wannabes can their videos of their solo acts or of their band performing, and stand a chance to be a part of the all new hip and happening variety music show that will be their wildest music adventure. These new talented acts get a chance to fight for the title of the Most Popular Local Act, voted by the viewers. In the SONIC YOUTH segment, musically talented kids (singers, rock bands, dancers) from schools will have a guest spot on the show and get a chance to be on TV and perform LIVE for the first time on LIVE ‘n’ LOADED!

We are left with only 2 weeks of school and AY08/09 officially ends on 23rd January 2009! Having said that, do you have any memorable class photos to be shared here with us? Calling all students who have just completed their O’s! Republic Polytechnic is having an OPEN HOUSE on 7th AND 10th JANUARY 2009. Yes, for 2 DAYS ONLY!!! So don’t miss out the opportunity! Discover what RP has to offer for you on these two days. We have fun and interactive courses ranging from science, engineering, hospitality and even the media & arts!

But first, you need to know how to get to RP! So, here’s how you and your friends can get to RP. Be sure to find out what are the various programmes that each school has prepared for you!

Besides that, we have a bunch of competitions for you to take part as well! So, get active and you might win attractive prizes! Hell yeah – ATTRACTIVE PRIZES TO BE GIVEN AWAY! MacRitchie Reservoir, 29 November 2008 – RepublicCanoe emerged top among the other polytechnics when they took the race by storm, winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals – securing a medal in every category.
 
RP bagged a total of 5 Gold, 6 Silver & 7 Bronze medals. Our Ladies came in 1st while the Men came in 2nd at the Championships. A truly commendable effort, well done!
